Title: jamma question
Post by: jamiex on January 22, 2005, 05:10:26 am
Ey people, I am a newbie and I have alsmot completed my MAME project. I am interested in building a JAMMA machine next and getting a JAMMA Board with a game for it to play. Because where I am from it is hard to get old JAMMA machines, does any one know where on the net I can get a tutorial on how to build one from scratch play my JAMMA board?

Help would be appreciated

Not too sure I've heard of people building a JAMMA cab from scratch, but I suppose it's possible. The main thing would be the wiring. I think you can get a brand new JAMMA loom from TheRealBobRoberts quite cheaply. Once you have the loom other parts shouldn't be difficult to come by.

Check out his website at www.therealbobroberts.com
Scroll down the list to the bit that says "JAMMA harness hookup". That should be of help.

I still think getting an old working cab would be the best bet. You'd save yourself a lot of hassle. Where do you live?  I'm in the UK and getting JAMMA machines is not difficult..... but we pay a lot more for them that our US counterparts, that's for sure.  :(
