Title: Pincushion and/or screen adjustment on G07?
Post by: quarterback on January 21, 2005, 07:02:16 pm
I just hooked up a G07 to my cab for the first time.  I got the monitor for free and it has some burn-in AND I accidentally 'removed' the neckboard so I've just finally gotten around to hooking it up.

The good news: It works!  Not only that, but the colors and brightness are better than the 19" WG that's currently in my cab. Yeah!

The bad news: It's got some pincushioning 'issues' and the image isn't centered on the screen and it looks like there might be some convergence issues.   I thought to myself "Hey, no problem, I'll just adjust it the way I adjust my computer monitor. There must be some controls somewhere" but after doing some more reading, I'm afraid I might have been too optimisitic.

Is there any way for me to adjust these things?  It's a G07-CBO (38-G07904-K0)
Thanks

There are two "raster position" adjustments for horizontal and vertical positioning. They are over towards the flyback and they are three tabs and a jumper wire for each vertical and horiz. They are marked for horiz: left-center-right. They are marked for vertical: up-center-down. Don't even think of putting the horiz jumper wire onto the vertical adjustment tabs or you'll damage the monitor.

Naturally this monitor will probably need a capkit if you are experiencing a pincushion problems.
