Title: monitor problem
Post by: johnnypronto on January 21, 2005, 05:31:16 pm
I recently bought a refurbished wells gardner monior from WG with an AC cord. when i plug it in it turns on for a split second and then makes a click and appears to shut down. although there is no picture on the screen and adjusting the brightness does nothing, i can still hear a faint hum of the monitor being on so i'm pretty sure it's getting power. can anyone help me with this?

I don't have alot of info on the 7200 since it's a current production model. All I have is a schematic and a sales flyer. One thing to check is to be sure everything is properly seated and connected, especially the remote adjustment board.

I checked all the connections and they are secure. Other than that I really don't know what i'm doing. All I know is that I took the monitor straight out of the box that it was shipped in an plugged it in, so it should be in working condition. Is this something that I could take to a regular TV or electronics technician or would i be better off sending it back to wells gardner?

better call them first, maybe its something simple that they walk you thru. Then if all fails, they give you a replacement board so no shipping in your part (more expense for you).
