Title: MAME Control Issues

Hi, first off, I'm using the latest version of MAME.
So far I only have The Simpsons (4 Players).

I want to be able to switch characters after I die. Also I want a friend to be able to choose characters I've chosen. But I don't want to switch controls.

Ex.
I'm Homer and my friend is Bart.
I die, and so I want to be able to choose Lisa.
My friend dies, I want him to be able to choose Homer.
I don't want either of us to switch controls.

IN the Simpsons arcade game...

the characters are PRESET to each controller... so you would have to use the 3rd and 4th player to get the different characters!

You're gonna want to find the 2 player Simpsons ROM.

There are actually 3 of them in my MAME .83 ROMset.

The Simpsons 2 players
The Simpsons 2 players (alt)
The Simpsons 2 players (japan)

I use one on my cab, works great. Most of the 4 player games have either 2 player ROMS or a dip switch setting for 2 to 4 players.
