Title: Quick - Is this a decent trackball ?
Post by: Wyluli on January 20, 2005, 09:04:17 pm
Hey,
Any opinions on buying this trackball for $21?

Looks decent, $8 for shipping.  Can I hook up a mouse hack to this?

Betson and Imperial are the same company so it doesn't matter which one you buy as they are identical.

I get a little nervous about the "used" condition trackballs may be in.

1) Is it "works fine" used?
2) Is it "needs some cleaning/polishing" used?
3) Is it "needs a roller/bearing kit" used?
4) Is it "why even bother" used?

That one looks like it would be in the 2-3 stage.

If you can wait, I'd suggest waiting.  I picked up a Betson Imperial for $19 (plus shipping) WITH NEW BEARINGS installed.

That's a great trackball, I have one myself. $21 seems like a pretty good price to me.

Maybe I should go dig some out of my trackball stash.
