My mame cab has a 25" ARCADE monitor in it. Here is the info I pulled off the tag on the back of the monitor:
RCA
Tube Type: A63ADT10x05
S/N: D-NFJ81289
I need to order the arcade VGA card from ultimarc to get this monitor hooked up to my mame pc. I'm wondering if I will need the amplifier or not? Anyone know?
I e-mailed Andy, but the info I gave him for the monitor is either incorrect or he doesn't know for sure.
Also, if I hook up the arcade VGA card without the amplifier, will I damage anything?

Well, I ordered the Arcade VGA card from Ultimarc today! No one seems to have info on this mystery arcade monitor of mine. Wish I had a camera so I could post pics.
Anyway, if it turns out my monitor does need the video amplifier and I hook it up without one, I will not damage anything will I? What will happen? E.g. nothing, flickering monitor, ??

That's becaue you posted the tube type, not the monitor model.

Look for stickers on the side of the frame of your monitor.Yours is probably a wg 25k71### and if it this monitor you do not need a video amp.If you cant find model # post a pic.

I don't think I'm seeing what you are looking for. The only other info I could find was a circuit board that is brand Hantarex and a barcode with the following under it: D-5LNFJ81289
Can't post a pic as I do not have a digital camera.
So, my main concern is just if I get the card and hook it up, I'm not going to damage the card or monitor (if it turns out it does need the amp)?

You won't damage your monitor. You'll just have a very weak signal.
Good luck,
Rocky

Not sure about your monitor but with mine i had to wrap the v-sync and h-sync into one wire and attach it to the sync on you pre hacked cable.Like this....
cable are marked as follows:
R, G, B = colours
H = horizontal sync. H and V sync can normally be connected together for most monitors to produce composite sync.
V = vertical sync
- = ground
