just picked up a 25" wells gardner monitor in a trade.
chassis serial number is WG 178518
is there any way to tell what monitor this is specifically and get detailed specs on it?
also.. thinking of using this in my dragon's lair 2 mame cabinet and was wondering what I need to do to get power to the monitor.
obviously in a regualr wired cabinet there's the isolation transformer.. (which i have no idea what it does)
but outside a cabinet... how do I get power to it? do i have to have a setup the same as in a cabinet?
maybe i should look at that book i bought a while ago. probably will tonight. (ok.. i'm thinking out loud now)
anyway.. any help would be appreciated as well as any help getting the monitor working with a PC setup.
i was told some games run fine but other require manual adjustment of horizontal hold when switching games.
thanks.
keith.

You need to post the chassis model number (e.g. 25K7191, for example) , and pictures are always helpful :)
You must power the monitor with an isolation transformer. You will damage the monitor (and possibly yourself) without one :o
For connecting to a PC, the easist method is to buy an arcade VGA card. Otherwise you can go the (much) more challenging route and use advancemame (dos) and/or powerstrip (windows) with one of the many compatible cards.

chassis number. ok. just ran out to the garage and grabbed that. looks like it's:
25X3219-001 revA
sorry. no pics. left my memory card at work. >:(
as for the arcade vga card. i'm going to try the hacked route first. theNasty (from these boards) has a pretty sick setup using a hacked vga cable and advmame. he's done a lot of tweaking he said but when i was at his house he offered to help me set it up when I was ready. mame looks so sick on his setup.
(hope the offer still stand buddy.) ;D

just did a search for the number and came up with this thread

looks like the same monitor. and honestly.. looks like EXACTLY the same monitor as mine's missing the same stickers. haha.
let me email this guy and see.
