Instead of hooking up my Gamecube to my arcade cabinet, I was wondering if I should just try using a Nintendo 64 emulator.
The game I'm thinking about playing the most is Super Smash Brothers, but the last time I tried N64 emulation it was pretty bad and slow so I'm a bit skeptical, but I have a few questions...
1) What's the best N64 emulator? Will it run full speed on an Athlon 1.0 GHz system?
2) What are some good N64 "arcade" games?
3) Is Super Smash Brothers possible and/or playable and/or worth it for an arcade cabinet?

Would it even work? What about the analog stick?

I'm using a flight stick for analog Xbox controls.
The N64 emulator is pretty good on the XBox -> it can only get better, too.
Bearing in mind the Xbox has a processor speed below 1GHz, surely it should run OK on your PC?
Try these emulators out:

It tells you which ones are the best/most compatible.
