I am interested in mounting a WG K7200 in a standard 19" cabinate so it can rotate. I have been told the classic 19" cabinates are 24" wide. So, can a K7200 rotate in one without having to cut holes?
-
The 7200 comes in several mounting configurations: standard horizontal, universal offset left, and universal offset right.
-
The K7200 I am looking at has a horizontal mount. What is the difference between them?
-
Standard horizontal is the same as shelf mount just like the classic games like Defender and Joust used. It bolts into the cabinet with bolt holes in the bottom frame and the side frame has 'ears' on the left & right of the monitor.
Universal mount is also known as "drop in" mount. The front frame has mounting ears at the top & bottom of the monitor tube face. The rear of the frame has the monitor's main circuit board "offset" either to the left or the right of the yoke. Hence the name offset left and offset right.
Examples are posted in these pictures including offset left (top picture) and horizontal mount (bottom picture).

Thanks for the pictures Ken...worth a thousand words. Could I get you put a tape across the diagonal of a K7200 and tell me how many inches it is? If it is less than 24", it will rotate no problem. From the specs I got from WG and some trig I came up with 25"
Thanks!

I don't have a 7200 laying around.

Could you give me the diagonal measurement of of any 19" (inclding the frame)...just to give me a ball park figure? Thanks...
-
When I go over to my buddy Steve Mildenberger's tonight I will pull down one of the spare 19" horizontal mounts and measure it. He has a spare 25" k7000 with universal mount too so I guess I could measure that as well for you. :)
We'll be going to one of his locations to put back together a pinball that got pried open last night! Cops already cleared us to start fixing it.

I have bought a 7202 19" WG and measuring w/the included fram is 20.5 inches.
I think the idea that you are thinking could be done but very very close. I have a 19" cab with this 19" Monitors and looking at it, really really close. Take a look at my setup in the Project/announcement section (search for Arcademania) if interested in haveing Dual Monitor Setup in your 19"Cabinet (just like mine). Easy to do and no rotating involve, it only involve flick of a switch.

Thanks for the measurement... 20.5 should leave about 1.5 inches clearance on both sides....tight, but it should work. ...Well have to see what sort of figure Ken comes up with.

here is a link about a guy putting a rotating monitor on a CANTIPEDE 19" Cabinet.
