I know ya'll have probably had at least 10-20 people asking the same question as I am, which is does anyone know where, or have themselves, an act labs pc usb light gun for sale?
-
I have one that I don't use. I see the next one ending on ebay is going for 96.01? :o
It's the S-video USB one.

You have a p.m and an email!! Let me know the price!!! I'll buy it later today when I get home from work!!
-
Just to point out the obvious matt, he has the s-video one that connects to a tv and not to a pc monitor. A great gun, as long as you are connecting to a tv and not a pc monitor. Also still available directly from acts for $40.
-
IT's still available? Darn. I would have ebayed this thing in a flash. Matt needs the VGA one.

Whoops, I'm a moron when it comes to some things :P
But thanks for the info everyone, being new here and already having so many people help me out is unbelievable!!!
It's coming down to the point where I might just buy a cable to run from my PC to TV...but then again my TV sucks and is at a weird angle....
I also tried a site called advantage 1 who claimed they had the light guns going for 79.99... but after talking to rob at advantage he said they are sold out.
It really just looks like I'll have to wait for a new version of this gun to come out sometime..
But if anyone else reading this knows where to pick up the VGA light gun, please let me know, I still have 80-100 bucks to spend on one..
thanks again!

Wow... I'm starting to wish I hadn't taken mine apart. I removed the circuit boards from the two guns and mounted them on aboard with a USB header, so I ended up with a "lightgun control module" with a USB (internal) header on one end, VGA port on the other, and VGA in with a pair of RJ-45's for the guns along the top. Great for inside a cab, but utterly unresellable... :(

But none the less that sounds like an awesome light gun mod. I get paid decently every two weeks from my job, so I'll always have the funds for this gun.
On a related note I heard that act labs plans to release a new USB PC light gun...
Does anyone know any more info behind this??? If it's true at all???
Thanks again everyone!!!

Yeah I already jumped on the waiting list...
That's crazy that the light gun came out that long ago....
I'm really out of the loop ::)
Thanks again for all the help Chris!!!!

I'm selling off some of my extra arcade parts to fund new hobbies. I wasn't planning on selling the Act Labs gun, but if you (or someone) are willing to pay $100, I'll sell. Mine is the VGA one.
Paul
P.S. I am going to start a new post listing the parts I'm selling, please have a look to see if there is anything you need.

that's great my friend, unfortunately I already placed an 80 dollar bid on this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13718&item=6145619360&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
Can anyone confirm that this is the vga one I need????
Hopefully I just didn't bid on something I don't need!!
But pcolson, if you don't get any offers on that gun, and I don't win the ebay bid, i'd gladly pay the $100 for it (shipped of course).
So I understand if you get an offer in then next two days and want to take it, but if you still have it and I don't win this auction, i'll glady buy it.
I have paypal and the money, just waiting on this damn auction (is impatient)
thanks again!!

That is the VGA one for a PC monitor...
Look at the connection...
The S-Video one has a small round connector & the VGA one looks like a monitor cable.
Good luck!
-
Awesome!!
Now all I have to do is wait for the auction to end!!
And him being in California is even better!! (Arizona here)
Thanks for the confirmation tmasman, now I'm psyched!!!

guess I should have looked around before I posted this question...
Direct from Act Labs website:
Q: I connect my PC USB Gun, but nothing happens. Windows doesn't detect it.
A: Try a different USB Port on your computer. Remember that the USB Gun will only work on Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Older versions of Windows are not supported. Also make sure that your USB ports are not disabled in your system BIOS. Finally, make sure you have the latest version of DirectX installed on your system.
