Title: Pc power button extension.
Post by: Will on January 12, 2005, 07:22:13 pm
I remember many moons ago seeing a thread about a extension for your power button that would just connect to the motherboard pins replacing the stock power button.I know that you can just splice a couple of wires to the existing power button cable but I was looking for another way to do it.I need to extend the button about 3-4 feet. Thanks

I bought a thing of really cheap speaker wire at radio shack and wired my remote button into the stock cabinet switch location.  It's about 5 feet of wire in my cabinet.

I spliced one to an old switch out of a Turbo cabinet.  Then I mounted it recessed near the rear side corner....just like on a Turbo.  Easy to get to, but fairly well hidden.
