This is just too funny. To me at least. :P
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0270846/board/nest/11475099
For those who don't know, Baby Geniuses 2 is currently sitting at #1 on IMDB bottom 100. :D
Let's hope it stays there. :D :D :D

Well I guess that's not too bad, I made it down to #31 on the list before I hit one that I've seen.

That's a great list. It makes me wish the comic-store-guy from the Simpsons was here to comment on it.
Who would have guessed that they made a sequel to Mannequin? A sure-fire hit, no doubt.
Amazingly, I can only see one movie based on an arcade game on the list. :o

Wish I'd seen this before I bought this:

I figured...Adam Sandler movie, got to be funny, right?

Bah - they don't know what they are talking about.

It must be an oversight but joysticks (1983) didn't make the bottom 100 :o I gave the movie to my brother as a gag gift for christmas--I almost felt bad cause it stunk so much, but hey what is family for ;D
Did iI mention how bad it was?
-
I stand corrected.
I notice that there's two "Idol" movies in the top ten. The German one (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0421051/) sounds fantastic, according to this review:
...All the other actors do their best but it is obvious that Daniel K

I'm shocked how many of those movies I've seen. Scary!!
Manos: The Hands of Fate was the worst. And it was on MST3K!! The Robots and Joel didn't even make that many jokes... they just sat there looking shocked and appalled... and the Doctor and TV's Frank both apologized over the course of the show for just how bad Manos was. ;D

Lifted directly from Quentin Tarantino's profile:
Two of Tarantino's favorite films are 'Manos' the Hands of Fate (1966) (which he owns a 35mm copy of) :o :o :o and Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan (1982)... ::)
You're in good company ;D

Dude, the Wrath of Khan is the best Star Trek ANYTHING ever made. ;D

Trek IV was better. ;D ;D

I think I see a common theme. A lot of them are sequels. Many of these movies aren't by themselves awful but when compared to the original films, they lose.
Case in point, "Grease 2". Grease was a great movie (if you like that kind of thing). Grease 2 is isn't bad either (...I want a cool-ool-ool-ool rider, cool-ool-ool-ool-rider...) but pales in comparison to the original Grease.
These are only here because they are high profile movies and people were compelled to vote (poorly) for them. Trust me. There are MUCH worse films that should be on this list but nobody will even bother voting for them.

My kids loved Baby Geniuses (PPV Friday night), and want the BBG 2 DvD. The first one was so bad I decided to clean up my basement instead of watching.
Ugh.

I only got down to number 11 before I got to one I've seen.
"Girl in Gold Boots"
But it was on MST3K, so it's not like I was watching it just for the movie. ;D
*EDIT*: I've also seen "The Giant Spider Invasion" on MST3K!

Trek IV was better. ;D ;D
You just go on thinking that. ;)
IMO, Trek VI and First Contact are the only movies that even come close to Khan. ;D

Somewhere on the web there was a great tally sheet of what made the most money, most money based on percentage, biggest losers, biggest loser by percentage, etc.
For example, Blair Witch is the highest percentage earner of all time. Something ungodly like, 1,300 dollars for every 1 dollar spent on the film.
Wish I could find that list again...

This isn't what you are looking for, but it's still interesting nonetheless. Biggest box office income adjusted for inflation.

Just look at the rate of inflation over the last 65 years at Gone with the Wind! :o

And I think that Blair Witch isn't # 1 anymore. I think that My Big Fat Greek Wedding is now #1 on that list you are thinking of. And before Blair Witch was the top, I think it was Friday the 13th.

We should all vote 1 for a movie and see if we can get it on the bottom 100...
The question is.. which movie?
-
Joysticks! in keeping with the arcade theme of the board of course ;)

Joysticks needs about 500 "1" votes to make it into the bottom 100 and it's off to a good start so far. :D :D

I am surprised at how few of these I have actually seen. Considering how many bad SF films I have seen, and I used to watch MST3K a lot as well.
I had to got to #27 ("Santa Claus Conquers the Martians ")before I found one that I have actually seen part of, and that was on MST3K.
The next one is #35 ("Hercules in New York") and that was on MST3K as well.
After that I had to go all the way to #65 ("The Brain That Wouldn't Die"). I saw that on "Creature Features". I might have been 12 at most.
I had to go all the way to #86 ("The Cat in the Hat") to get to one that I actually paid money to see. I new going in that it was bad, but my daughter wanted to see it and My wife did n't want to beleive that it could be that bad.
#98("The Avengers") is the first one that I actually wanted to see, but I have to agree that it stunk.

Police Academy movies---oooh, bad bad bad. Well, except the first one.
:police:
Some other lowlights:
Smokey & the Bandit 3: What a kludge. Poor Jackie Gleason--he must have been a Coke addict in serious need of cash to sign on to that one.
Rhinestone: Stallone comedy. Nuff said.
No Holds Barred: Ah Hulkamania. How they pimped that movie on WWF back in the 80's. Excretory.

First one I saw was #31, Battlefield earth. :-[
I'm renting Superbabies next week :D :D
