Title: PC2Jamma Circuit
Post by: JoelS on October 13, 2002, 09:55:23 pm
I build the pc2jamma power relay circuit and everything works great in ArcadeOS and with Montest, but arcmon does not seem to trigger the parallel port hardware.  Is there a program out there like Montest, but one that turns the circuit on or off from the command line.  I have tried sending 00 or ff to the port, but it sending data in this manner doesn't seem to duplicate what montest and arcadeos are doing.

I have also tried switching port types (ECP.EPP,both) with no success.

Wasn't there a command line utility to turn it on and off without ArcadeOS? I thought the interface has been out before ArcadeOS integrated the function.

Hmmm.. I am using an arcmon.sys file from the pc2jamm website to switch the video mode at boot, but it doesn't seem to flip the serial port.  Then again, maybe it does and it's just not working, like the other tools.  The weird part is that arcadeOS and montest.exe work perfectly.  I can't imagine what they would be doing any differently.  Does anyone have a method of contact for Brian Lewis?  It would be great to get the source code for the montest.  I looked at the source code for Arcadeos and got lost, my c skills suck.
