Title: Are hantarex chassis's interchangeable
Post by: menace on January 10, 2005, 08:02:44 pm
If i Have a hantarex polo 27" tube and chassis and a stand alone hantarex polo 25" chassis--are these 2 interchangeable?  I have read various docs on the web that say the polo can run anything from 13 to 33 with the same chassis (i'm dubious of that) but i thought I would ask here in case anyone has experience with these lousy things.

Unknown, but I sure pity you for having to be stuck with Hantarex monitors. Might be better to get an 8liners chassis.

LOL--thats how i got stuck with them--my brother had one and i bought it off him so i could swap parts from one board to the other--he HATES hantarex now (as I'm beginning to).  I bought a driver's edge game for $25 at the last auction and it had the shifter, the pedals and this big unknown 25" monitor so I figured what the h3ll--too bad it was a hantarex   :-X  Oh well maybe I can get it running.

more of an update for posterity than anything (since nobody uses these cursed things ;D) I hooked up the 25" chassis to the 27" monitor and with the exception of snapping --sounded like a relay clicking--nothing happened.  On the plus side, nothing was damaged but on the down side there was no picture.

Heh, I've heard you guys bashing Hantarex monitors before. :D Been wonderin about that though... What makes you dislike them? I have a Polostar and it's been working great for me. Are they known to be troublesome when they age or something?
