Not mine... But it's cheap!

wow that would make an awesome mame cab --standard street fighter layout of course.
<runs from room as shots fired>
;D
-
Yeah, if that were anywhere near me, or within 300 miles, or he would ship at all, I would own that.
-
My brother lives in Wisconsin... I wonder if I can get him to go pick it up...
-
Dude cancelled the auction "because of an error in the listing".

The Amplifone HV transformers are often suspect and very expensive to replace, great sideart though :S

He's going to get a LOT more money when the person who wins asks for the CP only.

OK, so I'm in Madison and I work in Milwaukee. Do you guys now:
1. Is Star Wars Emulated in Mame?
(If I bid/win the cab and drive to Milw. with my trailer to pick it up I'm not going to mess around with arcade monitors, pcb boards, etc as I've never messed around with that stuff --BINGO! Either that, or I was attempting to say "before" but it was too many letters to type--. I'd most likely throw a computer and a computer monitor in the cab. Any issues with this from what you guys now?
2. Does a computer montitor work well with the game Star Wars in Mame?
3. How does the Yoke connect up to an IPAC? (Easy to do?)
4. What do the Yokes along typically sell for, to get an idea of what the cab is worth.
Thanks guys!

Yes. So is Empire Strikes Back.
2. Does a computer montitor work well with the game Star Wars in Mame?
As well as it does with any vector game. The higher and sharper the resolution, the better.
3. How does the Yoke connect up to an IPAC?

:o
Star Wars hmmmmmmmmm (Homer Simpson sound there) can't type fast my my woody is in the way, yes I love Star Wars! My brother lives outside of Milwaukee I am trying to get him to go get it for me.... Would look so good with the rest of my Star Wars collectibles!!!!

Upward of $100 for the yoke? The last few I've seen were all well over $200.
-
Why stay away from it?

Some guys are a little over-zealous when it comes to MAMEing a dedicated arcade cabinet.
If you do decide to get it & MAME it, make sure you don't destroy anything on it (Artwork, sides, etc...) so it can be converted back should anyone decide to do so in the future. You'll receive a few moans & groans, but if you keep it tasteful & don't destroy it's rebuildability, you'll probably like it more in the long run & have something worth more if you want to sell it later.
Otherwise, if you want/like it, go for it & have fun!
For all the zealots out there... Get over it. It's a pile of wood & electronics with a pretty sticker on it... I hate to see a dedicated cab mutilated in the name of MAME, but in the end, to each his own.

Well, in this case, if he doesn't want to preserve the Star Wars look, he'd be much better off parting it out and using the proceeds to get a more MAMEable cabinet. Based on the design of a Star Wars, I don't think it would MAME well, unless you were making just a flying/270o driving cabinet.

It's just such a beautiful cabinet...

>Based on the design of a Star Wars, I don't think it would MAME well, unless you were making just a >flying/270o driving cabin
Bingo!
At best, it would be a:
Star Wars
Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Hydra
S.T.U.N. Runner
Road Blasters
Cab.
-
At BEST it would be a Star Wars/ESB Multikit cab...
Next best would be a vectormame cab.
Then, maybe, a mame cab with raster monitor.
-
Anyone here get this cab? I couldn't go very high because it is quite a drive to go get it.
-
One of the KLOV.com guys got it.
