Any suggestions?

im confused, are you asking what you should use as a imitation coin box or what?
if so, it doesnt matter much does it? since no one but you is gonna see it anyway. Tuperware comes to mind
-
oops I meant coin door... :)
-
My Midway cocktail has exactly the same coin door as my upright Midway cab, but it's only set up for one coin slot. AFAIK there's no difference between the two at all otherwise.

Would this look like the ones on the Ms. Pacman cocktails?
Universal Pinball Validator Door (happs part 42-1016-00)
-
Yes, it's the same coin door. I can't find a picture of the one on my cocktail, but here's a picture of the one on the upright.

The cocktail uses the same door, but the left side has a plug rather than a clon slot and reject button.

Oops, just checked the Happs part number you supplied. That's a different coin door than the one my cocktail has, though I have seen Ms. Pac Cocktails that use the coin door that I have.

Thanks for the pic... it looks very similar to the Happs part I listed so I will probably be OK with ordering it. My main concern is having enough room in the cab for everything to fit. The coin door and the monitor will be fairly close to each other - I think....

This is a cool all-in-one solution (but pricey):

Oh wow - that would be ideal. I'm worried about the mechs getting in the way of the monitor... I'll look around to see if I can find something similar for a reasonable price. Thanks for the pics!

Javery... you're still worried about the mechs getting in the way? I thought Stingray's photo shows pretty well that the mechs are flat against the door...

yeah they did - I'm going to be looking for a coin door like the one he posted. The ones I've been looking at all have the mechs perpendicular to the door...
-
There is no coin door manufacturer currently making "flat" style doors. :( Happ Controls was the last manufacturer to make this door and they have a dwindling supply of repair parts for it.
Midway's coin door was mainly the one used for cocktail tables because of the "flat" design. Your only bet is to get a used Midway (or MS. Pacman door as they are sometimes called) door on ebay.

If you are building a midway style table, the coin mechs on regular doors that stick out clear the tube fine assuming you are using an arcade or otherwise decased monitor.

I used the standard Midway coin

Thanks everyone! I think I'm going with the Coin Door #1 from The Arcadeshop (along with some glass clips and 4 speaker grills)...

Just to state the obvious:
Pac-Man & Galaxian cocktail doors (the ones with only one slot) are more narrow then the two slot doors (Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, etc.):

You see the Pac-Man doors on Ebay once in awhile. Bought mine a year ago for $22.
