Title: Mamewah custom lists (mame and consoles)

Noob here.

I can't seem to figure out how to set up custom lists using mamewah!  I'm using version 1.52.  I keep getting errors. 

What's the first step in creating a custom list? How is the Catvar file related to custom lists?  Can I create a custom list for emulators other than Mame?

Can someone start me out in the right direction?

You can use catver.ini to filter on game category, if you like - it is not compulsary.

Yes, but it is difficult to filter since not much info is usually available for consoles.  You can manually make your own, or have most played or longest played auto-generated lists though.

Make sure you have the 'fixed' version of MAMEWAH v1.52 from the ArcadeOS / MAMEWAH board @ MameWorld - if you're using the regular version it does have problems with filtering.
