I recently picked up a Happ trigger stick from ebay, part 95-0392-00- http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/95006500.htm.
Before I start fumbling with it, has anyone worked with this part before and, if so, can you help with the pin outs? This looks like it might make a good substitute for a Tron stick on a future control panel.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well being that Tron is an 8-way game with barely perceptable diagonals and that is an Analog joystick, well, its like trying to play Pac-Man with a flight stick. Not the right stick at all.

As Paige said, those sticks are really nice for analog stuff, but won't do well on digital games.
As far as I know, they are the same ones currently used in Star Wars Trilogy cabs though.

Put that way, my original idea was right silly. :)
Has anyone worked with one of these before, though?

I have one, and one of Dave's AKI cards to interface it.
I've played with them a bit, but haven't actually mounted it in my cab yet.

I built my own 8-way trigger stick, after seeing how expensive they can be. It was really easy. I just went to the thrift store, found a cheap flight stick, and removed the grips, and button assemblies, and grafted them on to an 8-way joystick I had here. I had to grind down the 'bat' on the 8-way to get the grip to fit, but it works great, and looks pretty good, too. :)

FYI,
I just saw this Tron control on ebay, if anyone is interested?
