Title: Guilty Gear XX #Reload runs very slow on my arcade PC -- Will a video card help?

My MAME arcade PC is an Athlon 1.0 GHz (w/512mb RAM) with a Radeon 7500 AGP video card.  I've installed Guilty Gear XX #Reload (Japanese import) and it runs VERY slow.

Could the problem be the CPU or could the problem be that I'm not using a 3D accelerator?

If I install a 3D accelerator card (such a Radeon 9700 PRO) will that speed up the game, or do you think my CPU is too limited?

It seems like the game is only 2D, so a 3D card might be pointless... but I'm not sure.

It's my understanding that MAME does not use your computers 3d hardware.  All of the 3d games are driven using emulation of the original machines 3d hardware, so upgrading your videocard would be pointless.  However, upgrading your CPU would help.

Oh, right... I understand that, but Guilty Gear XX #Reload is a PC game (it's not a MAME .rom)...
