Hello, I'm going to be using a miniPac for my interface and I already have the trackball. I'm trying to decide if I'm ambitious enough to attempt building a spinner. However, before I start I want to make sure both can run off of one miniPac. If not, looks like I'll make do with just the trackball.
thanks!

I have a miniPac (and love it); you can indeed connect a trackball and spinner simultaneously, but you can NOT use them both at the same time. The minipac is switched; if you move the spinner, trackball motions are not registered at all until you leave everything motionless for a bit (and then moving the trackball disables the spinner, etc).

Make sure you talk to Andy before buying one with out a wiring harness, he said the new boards bought without wiring trackball wiring harness wouldn't support trackball or spinner.

I bought in the fall, but I did buy it with the wiring harness. So hopefully I'll be okay.
Is it hard to connect both (spinner and trackball) to it?

Dead easy... provided you get the right trackball/spinner (in other words, if you bought a Happ/Vortex cable, buy a Happ trackball and a Vortex spinner). You'll have two cables to the harness--one for the TB, one for the spinner. Plug and go.
However, I do recall being confused about how to plug one of them in, but I don't remember what the specific problem was... so there may be some confusion. Bleah, curse my fading memory. It worked out fine, though.
