Title: Best method for affixing CPO?
Post by: shawnzilla on January 04, 2005, 09:27:07 am
Getting ready to affix my cpo (from mamemarquees.com). What is the best adhesive to use in this situation? My cpo is 3/4" mdf.

Yes, this is something I'm very interested in knowing as well. I'll hopefully be getting a CPO from them too. (My marquee from them came out beautifully.)

I thought they were self-adhesive for some reason...

shawnzilla: I would recommend you prime and topcoat the MDF first if you have not already - this should make a decent surface for the adhesive to stick to.  As to what adhesive to use I have never done it so am not sure  :-\

They don't already have an adhesive?!?!  :( That's disappointing news considering MameMarquees' excellent reputation...

LOL, maybe I should look at it before I post. It may be a peel-n-stick and I didn't realize it.

The one I got from Classic Arcade Graphix was self adhesive.

I'm the same, the Lexan, buttons & T-Moulding are plenty to hold the art in place for me.

I could be wrong but I got the impression he wouldn't be using lexan, I believe the MameMarquees CPO's have a laminated finish to protect the print.
