Title: Radeon 9800se and low resolutions.
Post by: maxstang on January 02, 2005, 01:15:54 pm
Anyone know how to get low resolution on a card like this?  Here's the deal.  I'm using my monitor vertically for mame, but I'd like to run some pc games in it to.  Most of them requre resolution changes at start up and the ATI driver won't change resolutions when in vertical orientation.  The game I'm trying to run is an older one that uses 640 x 480 resolution.  I was thinking that if I could switch the monitor to that resolution before rotating the display, it might run the game, but my driver won't do anything below 800x600. Will powerstrip do this? Any other solutions to this problem?   Thanks

are u using a normal monitor?  if so, use powerstrip to 'add' the resolutions you desire :D

if all you need is 640x480, just go to advanced/adapter/list all modes from display properties/settings
