The best way I know of is to connect the arcade controls to a db25 printer switch and then connect the switch to the ipac and also to the hacked dreamcast controller. This sounds nice but is there any easier way to do this without rewiring the entire cabinet or having to manually use the switch whenever you want to switch between the dreamcast and the PC?

I was planning on wiring the pushbuttons directly to both the dreamcast controllers and the ipac at the same time, you cant do this?

If the DC joysticks are plugged in while the ipac is on you have the potential to fry one or both system inputs (your keyboard port fuse will blow, and the DC joystick port fuse). To avoid this, its recommended to isolate both systems either via a switchbox or molex type connector.
To answer sofaking's question, that depends on which "easy" you are talking about. I think its easier to wire them up via molex connectors than a switchbox. But its easier to USE a switch box then unplug/replug molex connectors.
