Title: MAMEWAH - Killer Instinct CHD questions
Post by: stevodevo on December 31, 2004, 08:47:37 am
Ok, I've got the kinst.zip and the kinst.chd in their correct locations in the directory... my problem is the game runs fine if I start it through mame32, but if I try to run it using fastmame from dos or mamewah with any mame version I get the error - u98-l15d     NOT FOUND.

How come it will work in mame32 directly but not in mamewah?  I'm using the mame32.exe in mamewah...

Thanks for the help and I hope I'm not beating a dead horse!

Since it's not finding that ROM (but seems to be finding the others) are you sure you're using a version of Mame that is compatible with that ROM set?

Also: do you mean Mame32 or command line Mame?  If the latter, get Mame from mame.net, not from classicgaming.com/mame32qa

Thanks!  I think the rom I was using was v1.4 and the mame versions must've wanted v1.5 (which contains the u98-l15d file).  Actually, after further research I think I'm gonna run it under the u64emu emulator which is WAY faster!

Now if I can just figure out how to launch it through MAMEWAH!
