Alot of times people will respond to my questions giving me dimensions to something on their cab or just tell me about something on their cab, then I'll click on their name to see if they have a website and alot of you dont, so I thought I'd create a "Post a Pic of your Cab!" thread, so if you read this, post a picture of your cabinet! I'd like to see your work!

soon changing i think..

I'll just refer you to my site. All my projects are listed there.
-
Silly question, but isn't this why we have a 'Projet Announcement' section?

I thought the project announcement section was for announcing that you are beginning a project, and thus a thread to have throughout its production.
This is more of a thread for everyone to show their final product in the same thread.
I wouldn't think to highly of you if you had hijacked my project thread with pictures of your project. :)
That being said... My project isn't finished yet (need some warm months to hit again for painting), but here is my control panel, which is complete.
The cab itself is just another UAII, so you've all seen it before.
-
Mine are still a work in progress. time and money I never seem to have both at the same time :D

I know exactly what you mean. But mine's virtually done now. Still have to add bezel but more or less there...

more piccies in announcement thread: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,22149.40.html Again, it's a UAII based cab so nothing out of the ordinary

TOK that's the perfect cab for GTA :D
-
My girlfriend built this for me as a Christmas present!
-
This was my favorite one.....but is no longer mine. My everyday MAME cab is a Super Neo 29 (nothing tweaked about it)
-
Kraw please tell your girlfriend I would like to hire her to do all my routing on my cp and if she doesnt mind laminating it too that would be great :D
-
Only 1 week old, still on the teet.
-
Arcade 360 for your viewing pleasure.
If you haven't seen it before, the 26" Arcade monitor rotates through 360 degrees to 1 of 4 different control panels, it's sweet to play on.
-
Almost done

OK, here's my attempt at a scratch build ...
this is the larger CP, with dummy mod coin door (i'm no sheet metal worker, thats for sure:)...
this shows the small CP, with mode Stargate artwork...
and this tops it all, no back light though, it's only printed on paper:(...
i'm currently working on a Pac-man style table top, it looks the same as all of the others (thanks to the Kyle myster)...
http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/erikthecat@btinternet.com/my_photos
does anyone have a UK colour code (pantone) for the Pac yellow?
for my next project i would like to tackle a Taito - Space Invader cabinet (upright), internal refelcting mirror and moonscape backdrop, but there doesn't seem to be much / no suitable info out on the web:(
any pointers / help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
PS Yes, i am mad:)

I don't like the mame marquee or the hump in the back but otherwise it's pretty cool looking. Is that a TV in there? Did you use a Happs bezel? cuz thats what im thinking you did and it looks good, assuming you didnt have to remove it from the casing

versapak:
are those just normal concave buttons or something different, they somehow look different but i'm thinking that's just the flash reflecting off of them.
-
Nope, that isn't just the flash.
They are normal concave buttons, but they are clear with colored plastic inserts inside them.
I used 4 Pelican Real Arcade Universal controllers to make my control panel, and those are actually just the buttons that came insde them.
I have gotten several inquiries about them lately, and several people looking for where they can find the same style buttons. I don't know where to find buttons like that other than in the Pelican sticks, but if anyone does happen to find them, I too would like to know where. :)

And an old Mini steering wheel by the looks of it :)

Yep. I bought a shiny new chrome wheel with a wood rim for my Mini so the old one went up on the wall. :D

-
Here's a couple of pics of mine.. kinda crappy compared to what some of you guys do, but i like it.
-
Still would like to add some things to this...1st cab by me. Well, not totally, some prefab items but I had to put it all together, paint and build the computer anyway... ;D My woodworking skills are crap ::)

Is that a chrome ball-top stick in the upper middle?

Too true :) I'm wondering if Lord Hiryu has any sideart planned, seems a shame to miss out on more great artwork...
-
Here is my first attempt at a cabinet. I just finished about a month ago and now I'm having a blast playing on it.
I went with the oak finish instead of the traditional arcade look because it fit my basement better (plus it made a big difference in getting my wife on board with the project!).
-
Here's my first shot at it.....
-
wow! some awesome cabs!
-
Still sorting out some cosmetics (like the leading edges of the side panels, etc) but it is working and the cp is perfect for me.

Here is another Off Road MAME conversion. I have long since sold it to fellow BYOAC contributor, but thought I'd throw it out there anyway.
The only problem with these cabinets is that are extremely freaking tall!

Ras2a, I just wanna say thats onea the nicest cabs i have seen. In my opinion, Ultimate Arcade 2's are the best looking cabs when effort is put into them, such as yours and snaakes mamecast. Mine is also a UA2, and Ive put about 1500 dollars into it so far, got an over under coin door, built in light gun holster, custom artowrk being made by snaake ect, you guys are inspirations to me, and Im hoping mine will also be an inspiration in the end like yours are to me. My goal is for people to see my cab and just be in awe. Keep the pictures coming! ;D

If you wanna see more detailed pics, check out my Arc-Eden (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,22149.0.html) thread in the Project Announcements section. I would love to add side-art but fear my wife will complain that it's too 'gharish'. Can't wait to see what you're turns out like...have you already started a thread over in PA?
edit: just noticed your sig - lol

I love Defender, still working on the artwork. Re-doing the side-art, artwork for the swappable modules, and a real Defender glass bezel. I also now have black buttons on the side instead of the green. But other than that it looks just like what's above.
I heart my cab. ;)
-
Almost done
**WOW** :o
Very well done! I love cabs that look like the original games the best. Looks exactly like an original Q-bert. The restored Moon Patrol was great also. I'm trying to do that but it's not looking as good as it could.

I have built a 2 player fighting panel which looks kind of odd since it has blue Wico p360 balltops and blue buttons. I will take some pictures of it later, but I am going to build a better 2 player fighting panel sometime next week.

Work in progress, but here's mine

this is what i get down on :)

Dude that is a really good idea for a cab. Having the controls for the Horizontal and the Veritcal on the other side....I would of never thought of that.
-
you mean the 3rd control panel?
thanks but it definitely wasn't my idea ;)
my cab was built up from a arcade depot kit, the third control panel is pretty popular on mamed cocktails :)

It's painted. It's a purple from Disney line (Home Depot). The picture really does a poor job as the purple buttons from happ and the cabinet are very close in color. For reference this is about the same at the purple button on this site for "What's New."

That's fair I guess. Opinions are like belly-buttons; everyone has one, but some stink more than others. I chose to build the notched back as I didn't like the big flat back.
Yes, it's the bezel from Happ. It's hiding a 26" Mitsubishi TV. The TV is in it's original case.
