Hey guys,
On my Mortal Kombat machine I noticed that on some parts when the game is playing there seems to be a greenish area surounding certain objects in game..
-
cap kit
-
Are your whites too bright? Sometimes if you play with the POTs (potentiometers--those knobs that control red, green, blue, brightness, etc) it helps a little.
-
I see the 5 or so knobs on the back board.. but which one is for the colors and brightness?
-
Is that Cobb's Knob?
;D
-
cobbs knob? lol
-
And the make & model of the monitor in question is....?????
-
lol I dunno.. im having trouble finding that! All I see is DPI written on one corner of the boards.. i cant seem to find any other writing. Any ideas?
-
Did you look at these monitor ID sites yet?
www.dameon.net/BBBB/
www.jomac.net.au/mon.htm

ah excelent links! I never saw those sites --BINGO! Either that, or I was attempting to say "before" but it was too many letters to type--! I belive Its a Wells-Garner 4900 I have.. heres the pic on the site: (http://home.comcast.net/~ano316gamer/g1.JPG)

What do you guys think?
-
Yup, you got a 4900 series allright.
-
so you guys think a CAP kit will solve that color "bleeding" problem im having? It kindove does it a little with red too.. but mostly green sorta appears in streaks around objects and such. Anything else you guys think it might be too?
-
Capkit first then see how it looks. If still not correct then turn down the "Color Cutoff" controls on the neck board for those particular colors.
-
Also, try deguasing using a deguasing coil
-
how do i degause it? I thought by default monitors degaused themselves at turn on?
-
They do now... they did not 20 years ago. Your monitor is old.
-
ah hehe :) so how do I degauss a monitor such as this?
