I'm doing my first cabinet, and i'm currently looking at a refurbished WG K7400 27" monitor. I'm only using this for MAME and a good windows picture doesnt matter to me.
First of all, will this monitor do me justice?
Second, how would I go about wiring this up to my computer? I've read bits and pieces at a bunch of places, but I've yet to nail down the specifics.
Thanks!

Well depending on price its a good monitor,I have a similar 25 inch monitor that works great. The easiest way to hook up that monitor to your PC would be to get a arcade VGA video card and the VGA to cga hacked wire.Your monitor will have connection for red, blue, green, sync and ground you will just wire these to the easily labeled hacked cable. This may sound hard but it really isn't.If you have the skills to build a PC from scratch you have what it takes to do this.I have now seen Mame running on a TV,a PC monitor, and a true arcade monitor and it is truly worth it to get a arcade monitor.TV looks so freaking blurry and a PC monitor just looks way to perfect and the arcade monitor makes you go ew baby that's why I got involved with this crazy hobby.Go to www.ultimarc.com for info on video card and check out www.retroblast.com for reviews on the arcade vga card and reviews of arcade monitors. So to answer your questions yes it is a good monitor (I'm not an expert on specific models) ,wiring it will be easy as long as you have the right items to connect it your PC.Last but not least welcome to BYOC!!!!!!-Will
