Title: Wellsgardner D9200 and Slikstik
Post by: joeH on December 29, 2004, 02:54:56 am
Hey all...thinking of upgrading my monitor and cp in my cab.  If I purchase a WG D9200 monitor and SlikStik CO2, will I still need my ArcadeVga card in the computer and the Ipac to hook up the controls? It appears that the D9200 has a vga cable to hook up directly to the computer.

Thanks!

It does have a VGA cable. I own one and have ran it both ways, it is better with the arcadevga.

All SlikStik CPs come with an iPac built in.

The AVGA and WG9200 pairing is ideal. The AVGA can drive the WG9200 at all resolutions and refresh rates. This way, you don't have to use tricks such as those in AdvMAME to force off-the-shelf cards to spit out the correct sync rates.

Thanks for the responses...well I already have the video card, and will have to talk myself into getting the monitor. Does anyone have any opionions on which is the better monitor? WG 9200 or Betson Imperial 27"?

I prefer the WG. Kevin at Retroblast has reviewed them both, so you can make the determination for yourself:
