Rather demanding, aren't we?

18-22 gauge is good; don't know what that is in that new-fangled "met-rick" system.

Solid or stranded will work, it's really up to you.

Hmm.. Radio Shack should carry 18 gauge wire.  As they sell 18 gauge wire as a 3 pack of colour spool set (Red, Green, Black) and a larger spool of black wire.

18 guage is 1.02
<edit>And if the knob at radioshack can't tell you what guage it is I suggest you stop purchasing items there.<edit>

Are you not living in the states?

I have wire on my site (http://www.pealefamily.net/cgi-bin/closedShop/Item.pl?action=ShowCategory&category=parts) if you're interested, but I ship to the US (and occasionally .ca) only.
