Title: Commnunity Project - Read

I know there are many people most being new members interested in my cabinet plan. Although I want to take measurements and post them, there are a few things I would like to see changed.

In February Id like to start building a new version of this cab. The shape and CP needs to be designed now so artwork can be created (CP, side and marquee). This way the CP can be cut to shape to properly fit the artwork.

If anyone is interested in a design that is very similar to this one, that is slimmed down with or without a motor for rotation and is not quite as deep

Post by: AmericanDemon on December 26, 2004, 10:56:45 pm: I personally like the idea. Especially if the artwork could be printed in a mass production scheme to help lower its cost for everyone. What would be cool too is if we could set up an order form of specific parts to order and get vendors to give a discount for said project based on amount of people interested. Kind of like a kit cabinet, but different at the same time. :)

Thanks for the offer DM this is the kind of effort we need to get this off the ground. Its suprising that this hasnt taken well. I really though we could help some new guys out. What more do ya want, it will be step by step with tips and a forum. Maybe its my massive design. The design will be a communuty effort that could be what ever the majority wants. Big or small. Theres nothing saying you cant tailor your cab.

Anyway... thanks for bumping the idea demon.

Think about it, we all have custom projects, but these will be the cabinets that BYOAC built. An addendum to Saint's Book for next publishing. :)

Post by: Flinkly on January 11, 2005, 11:20:05 am: you guys have got a good idea going, but i don't think your going to get too many people going on the idea with you. on the one hand, i never did like lusids cabinet design (i think that is the one from the project arcade book), and this cab does look better. but most people who would be willing to spend the money to make this mammoth, would probably love to make their own design. but anyways, hope you guys find success.
