I'm in the process of restoring a Donkey Kong and when I removed the CP it appeared to have some of the metal poles in the wiring connector missing or broken. Does anyone sell replacement wiring harnesses for the CP or would I be better off in the long run if I convert the connectors on the harness to molex??

Yes.
Bob Roberts sells all kind of connectors. You can buy them from Happs. There are wiring connectors all over the net for arcades. I don't think there is any store you can just walk into and buy them, you have to do mail or internet order for them.
If it's the edge connector, I suggest that you buy or make the tool to remove the clip out of the harness. That way you can make a new one and just run the wires where you need them. Bob also sells those tools for removing molex pins, etc. They come in real handy with repairs like that.

Are the missing poles SUPPOSED to be missing? Many connectors have missing poles from the factory.
If it were my game and it had a horked connector I would just eliminate the connector altogether. Its not like you NEED the ability to unhook the control panel and carry it into the next room.

The poles are not supposed to be missing. They are for ground and to connect the controls on the cp to the board.
I thought about just cutting the connector off and splicing the wires together, but I received DK Jr, and DK3 CP, marquee, bezel and boards with this cab also. In 10 minutes I can change the cabinet to another game on the fly. I figured it would sell better if I kept the ability to swap controls intact. Hopefully this cab will fund (or partially fund) my first pinball purchase.
I'll check out Happs and Bob Roberts again on the extractor tools and connectors.
