I currently run my xbox on a wells gardner (640x480)arcade monitor using x2vga. What I noticed is that on some games (BMX XXX & Dave Mirra 2) the sides of the screen are cut off about 1/2 of an inch basically showing a black border. Now when I run other games like Def Jam Fight for New York and Marvel VS Capcom 2 the screen is completley filled the way it should be. Now since my monitor is a 640x480 monitor I am going to assume that every game I play that is visable is running in 480p. That being said shouldnt all the games fill the screen the same way? Are some games just simply programmed not to fill the screen or is there a way around this? Thanks for the help ??? ???

The XBOX is connected to my Monitor using an X2VGA VGA Adapter (http://www.x2vga.com/) Its as simple as plugging it into your xbox and then plugging in your monitor and the results are fantastic. Sorry I havent tried any gun games, and from what I hear there arent many about 2-3.

dskillz1, yes each game will have its own true pixel resolution (which may not be 640x480 exactly). Unfortunally nothing you can do there.
Layer01, if you are connecting to a Standard Res arcade monitor, consider getting the ZD-V3 transcoder, as it will support 480i mode (unlike x2vga). Also the VD-Z3 supports Gamecube and PS2 consoles (unlike x2vga).

No, you wouldn't notice these problem on a normal TV as NTSC signals usually go over the hor/vert boarders of normal TVs anyways.
