I actually got one from the store and tried it....
I'm using the Windows Version.... (not Mac)

I've tried everything... but you turn A LOT... the cursor only moves a little.... did not go well for spinner games....

after trying for like 3 days... I quitted and returned it....
I've tried new drivers and stuffs....

if you can make it work, plz let me know...
(I would like to use it to play Arknoid...)
;)   ;D

hope it helps...

Adjusting Mame's Analog settings didn't help?

Speaking of alternative controls... http://www.vintion.com/english/msc/game/ms300.htm (http://www.vintion.com/english/msc/game/ms300.htm) check out that bad boy.. it's the gobot-transformers of steering wheels...

I haven't seen anything on the market before that resembles a hangon type control (except for xiaou2;s home made version)

Kinda cheezy.. kinda neat...

I increased Mame's sensivity to about 300%... still no effect at all....

also... I tried their new driver, mouse acceleration/speed... and others...

but still.... its speed is NOWHERE CLOSE to a playable speed...

For Arknoid, I need to go from 1 edge to the other quickly at times... and I'll need about 3-4 complete turns before I can get there..... (that's after speeding up everything....)

and I don't get help from their support about this....

so... I returned...

-------------

ps:  I read thru. their docs... somehow, in the MAC version, it seems like they have an option for you to check to make it a spinner control for games.....

(but they do not have it for the Windows Verision....  >:( )

so.... I returned it before I got stuck with it.....

From what I've heard, you'd need to reduce the sensitivity, to say like 5 or 10%.  ???  And this is because the code/rom/software isn't quick enough and needs to actually be slowed down dramatically.  Not sure where I read that.  Maybe on this forum somewhere.

if I didn't remember wrong... I tried both ways....

its just not fast enough..... I believe at some point, I've made it negative percentage..... its still too slow....

anyway... I've already given up to use it as a spinner....

but just want to share my experience in case anyone would like to buy and try it.... (I would suggest go some place that they have a return policy....)  Personally, if I buy some stuff, I don't like to return it... but this case... I buy it specifically to use as spinner and I just couldn't get it to work....
