Title: Sanyo 20-EZV problems
Post by: clanggedin on December 23, 2004, 11:55:40 am
I just picked up an original Donkey Kong Jr last night and when I power it up, the monitor is dim and it looks like there is hardly and red. There is some red, but it is very dark and hard too see.

Would a cap kit fix thiis problem? Should I replace the flyback also just to be safe?

This is my first cap kit and I heard that the Sanyos are the hardest to do, does anyone have any good advice for me. Would I be better off finding someone to install the kit for me?

Hey there !!

I've kept the following site handy for a while now. See, I also have a Sanyo monitor, and although it isn't giving me problems now, someday I suspect it will.

When capped, the Sanyo's produce such a nice, bright crisp picture I wish all of my monitors had the same display. Having said that, I think you'll find this page at least a little helpful.

You might want to bookmark it just as I have.

Thanks for the link. I'm pretty sure now that I'll fix it myslef. I just wasn;t sure if a cap kit will fix all of my problems.

I guess it's a place to start.

Capkit it first before doing anything else. No, you don't need a flyback.
