If the sucker as local and you can afford it, then I would say $800 US is a good max bid.

its current max bid is $610 AUS which is (acording to xe.com) 467.979 USD

paigeoliver:

sucker? as in i would be a sucker to buy it? why?

Gunstar Hero:

yeah it is big but i am thinking big is good, at least in this case as i live 2 hours from the guy selling it.

so any thoughts on the cab contents (poted in first post)? IE: the jamm/neo geo slot combo 11 month old monitor, speakers etc...

i was also hoping that when i had hooked up an xbox to it i could play House of the dead 2 and 3,  unless TV light guns dont work on arcade monitors.... :o

I'd never presume to speak for paigeoliver, but my guess is that the word "sucker" is being used to describe the cab and not you.

I believe he's saying "if that big 'ol cab is close to you (so you won't have to pay a gazillion dollars to ship it) and you can afford it, then $800 US is a good max bid."

I was using sucker to describe the cabinet, not you.

Count your expenses in then, cab is worth $800 USD. Always count your shipping/pickup expenses.

Sounds like a killer deal if you don't have to ship it.

lol no harm done, i just confused not offended  ;D :P

so you guys recon its a good deal then, cool well hopefully the bidding wont go nuts in the last few minutes lol.
as for shipping i guess i'd hire a trailor and go pick it up one day...shouldnt be that expensive.

well i'll let you all know if i got it in the end  ;)

PS: does anyone know if this cab has a certain name, so i could look it up on the net?

Is there any burn in on the monitor?
Water damage?

If not, do it.

Almost all Australian cabinets are made by Leisure and Allied. So my guess is that you have a "Leisure and Allied Showcase 38".

Or it could be home made, but it looks fine to me.

well its up to $660 AUS atm *sigh* damn early bidders when will they learn
and no no damage, and the monitor is 11 months old (he replaced it once)
the cab is not home made, as i've seen this model for sale before (my university's bar has one just like it, only for ranger mission and with guns to shoot the screen)

i'm thinking that if it doesnt go ubove $700 AUD (536.043 USD approx) then it would be worth it, i like the sound of its 10" sub and 4 sat speakers....mmmm step mania
also its cp is big and that a big plus  :)

Beugh....  >:(
damn noob ebay bidders bidding away to their hearts content, upping the price left right and center.....its now at $901 AUD (690.170 USD approx) and its still got 8 hours to go so i expect it'll easily make $1200 ish AUD (919.090 USD approx)
so sadly i think it just got a little too expesive for my likings....unless anyone here knows otherwise, like if the parts it has are awesome or something and i shouldnt let it go. i think i'll have to *sigh* let go of this one.....damn and it was so feasable yesterday.  :-\

one thought i had so as to help me decide on wether or not i should loose vast sums of money over ths cab is, if i were to build something similar would it be cheaper, more expensive or about the same (i know that question is  a tad hard to answer) but assuming building all goes to plan and with average costs in mind....any thoughts?

EDIT: cause i was under the impression that a 38" arcade monitor was very expensive, so i'm thinking seeing as its only 11 months old it may work out quite cost effective, is this the case?
