Is it possible to use one of these Eight Ball Action trackballs with a MAME CP? Has anyone used one? Have wiring info? ???

Thanks!

In true RayB fashion, I'm going to avoid your question (which I don't know the answer to ;D ) and will instead say... That's a rare game! (I think???)

You do know that the TB on that CP is the white ball to the right of the yellow instruction card right?
I'm pretty sure it's just a normal 2

That cab would be sweet changing the white trackball to an 8-ball. you should be able to mame that like any other arcade game.

I don't know how rare, but it seems that all Eight Ball Action machines were conversions of either a Donkey Kong, DK Jr. or a later Pac-Man conversion.
What's weird is that just about everywhere I've seen these, they are a joysticked game. I saw this up on eBay for $89.00 starting bid with the trackball.
Wouldn't be a bad buy, would probably convert and restore the cab back to DK, but that trackball has me intrigued. ???
Anyone have more details about this?

The reason the game is so RARE is because it was a chipswap game for Donkey Kong. I saw one guy convert one of those suckers back to Donkey Kong AT the St. Louis auction a while back. He reconverted it AT the auction, and then sold it. Took him like 10 minutes.

I just won a Control Pannel on eBay for cheap.
Here is a pic of the underside.

Sorry to go OT, but is this game emulated in MAME? I know I can get the ROM, but I don't remember ever seeing this is MAME and I've just downloaded MAME 32 .89 and still don't see it. None of the trackball billiards games impressed me, but this looks like it has possibilites.

Yes it's in my MAME set - there are 3 different ROMS for the 3 different hardware conversions. One for DK, one for DK Jr. and One for the Pac-Man hardware that still has color issues in MAME.
Are you looking under Eight and not 8?
It's an ok game, nothing to get sweaty about. ;D

Oh my god, Romper, that is a Wico Command Control trackball!
HAHAHA. It's the trackball Wico sold to use with Atari 2600, C64, etc... What's that doing on an arcade control panel!?

Wow, I think your right! :o You can even see the little rubber feet on it.
Looks like these machines were a hack all the way around!

Found it in the .89 I downloaded:) Not sure why I missed it this morning. I guess I spent the most time looking in .70 (Which it's not in). Not expecting it to light the world on fire, but I'd like to have ONE billiard game that I didn't find retarded (Trackball version).
Edit: Just played it. That was a waste of my time. Not actually a Nintendo game and doesn't support the trackball? Even by the low standard of arcade billiards, this one sucks.
