I was wondering if these were the spring based wicos that everyone likes, or are they the wrong ones

Those DO have the rubber grommets in them. I bought a blue one from that guy, but my only complaint was that the hole on the top of the plate is square, so it seems like it was a 4-way base or sometihing because the diaonals are very prominent.

Smack, hits self in head. Yeah I see that now I look a little closer at the picture. How do the microswitched wicos compare to the leaf switch ones?

It's the 8-way micro base.
They have the square restrictor, and square actuator like most of the other 8-way micros.
If it were a 4-way base, it would have a DIAMOND shaped restrictor, to guide it to the 4 directions.

I checked the old Wico catalog for the nmber mentioned in the e-bay auction. I could find number 15-371000. It didn't answer the question, but the mention of "audio feedback too!" as a special advantage of this stick made me smile:
