Title: Which ATI cards support Desktop Rotation?
Post by: maxstang on December 17, 2004, 11:47:45 am
Anybody know?  I'm interested in being cheap and I wondered if the 7000 does it.  The ATI site is VERY scarce on details.  Thanks.

I can't help you on the 7000, but if you're looking to compile a list, the 9800 (Non-Pro) does.

MAN!!  This is WEIRD!!

My Radeon 7500 supports desktop rotation...

I didn't even think to look for that.

I have my Desktop rotated and now Donkey Kong looks perfect!

lol

Now, I wonder how long I can keep it this way??

My Radeon 9200SE has rotation in it as well.

I wonder why it has this feature in as Mame is hardly mainstream and I cannot think of any further application for this. ???

My several year old aiw radeon supports desktop rotation.  I suspect that all radeons do with the updated catylist drivers

Thanks guys.   I ended up going with a 9200 and it works great.  My stiff neck thanks you all.  Now if I could just get the picture to fill the screen completely I'd be happy.
