Title: How to set MAME for $.5/$2 coindoor?
Post by: Carsten Carlos on October 03, 2002, 09:26:52 am
The coindoor I got has one slot for 1DM and one for 5DM, that's something like $.5 and $.2

I wonder if I could configure MAME so it will add one credit for the first slot and five credits when using the second coinslot?

Alyways wanted a twoplayer-coindoor, but I've got the feeling that only a few games like Gauntlet do support these. As I don't want any dedicated coin-buttons on my panel, I guess it would be a good idea to insert a bigger value coin and have five credits at once.

I don't know if that can solve your problem,  but some of the NeoGeo games, you can configure the 2 coin slots....
1 coin for how many credits... etc.
(actually... some of them are defaulted so that player 1 slot has 1 credit and player 2 has 2 credits...)

however, I don't think older games have it...

on the other hand... if you don't want dedeciated coin buttons, you can also assign the player start button also function as coin button... then you can just press the start button itself to insert coin !!...

hope it helps....
;)   ;D

Well, the games I remember always had this two slots for 1,-DM and 5 DM, at least Centipede. Or was this only common in german arcades? Unfortunately we didn't have these dedicated cabs that often here!
