It would be great if the Xbox could emulate the Dreamcast, in fact it might actually tempt me to buy one. But I'm sceptical that it could run at an acceptable speed.
If memory serves me, the Dreamcast's processor is about 200mhz whereas the Xbox's is about 700mhz. Even with highly optimised code, you normally need the emulating machines's processor to be at least 10 times as fast as the emulated machine's processor for the emulator to run at an acceptable speed.
Even allowing for the fact that there is far more to a processor's speed that its megahertz rating, and that a lot of the DC's performance results from it's graphics chip, I just can't see what is essentially a glorified 700mhz PC emulating a DC at full speed. But I hope I'm wrong.

I was just thinking about Chankast, and wondering if they've done another release yet the other day... thanks for posting the news tidbit/update lilwolf =)
If they can get it to play the real discs, i'd totally add this to my cabinet in an instant...
(the drive on my real DC is sputtering badly)
