Haven't been redaing the boards in a while, I know Act labs has the USB gun, but only works with monitor. Has there been any progress with a light gun working with a TV. Thanks.

I don't know about the act labs gun, but I have a psx Guncon that I think is possible to hook up to the computer. I just can't find out any of the details about it. If anyone knows anything, let me know. Thanks!
EDIT: I found this page:
http://www.debaser.force9.co.uk/ccmame/
But I can't find any info about actually wiring it up to the parellel port.

You're supposed to wire it up using the Directpad Pro schematic to the parallel port.

You should realize that unless things have changed, so far no one has ever successfully gotten a console gun to work on the pc, even through direct pad pro.
Unless this particular utility does something special I doubt it's possible.

Hmm...I don't see why the guncon2 shouldn't work on the PC. It can calibrate on progressive displays (640x480 non-interlaced). I guess it would just come down to writing the usb driver for it, and using a video card which outputs a composite signal (video input to the gun) at the same time as displaying 640x480 on a computer monitor. In theory it should work. I know the original guncons won't work with progressive displays.

Look at the page again, the driver is part of Alegro which DOS mame was (not sure about now) based on. Direct Pad Pro software isn't used, only the wiring (which is also the same as SNESKey wiring).
No one except that person has reported success at it, or even have tried it.

Ahh. I see... then if you've got one by all means try it, couldn't hurt. :)
