Hello, if I were to come up with the original * NEW * Arkanoid Controller for the Coin-Op version game would there be any interest from anybody to purchase these units in any quantity??? Just Asking for now.
-
I guess that would depend on how much each unit costs.
-
The cost would be around $75.00 - $100.00 per controller.
-
I'd buy them if they were in the $25-$30 dollar range.

thats a little high. Oscars spinners are far cheaper and are awesome replicas.

I would probably pick up some too if you could let them go for $25-$30. Price makes the difference to most people. If you have the cheapest price and good quality, I don't think the design would matter to most people.

Arkanoid spinners are rather limited as far as the number of games they can accurately play due to the fact that they are not weighted like a Tempest style spinner and they also use reduction/acceleration gears to change the speed of the encoder wheel. On a "playability" standpoint, they're really only good for paddle type games ie Arkanoid,Breakout ect.. They pop up on Ebay fairly frequently for well under $50.00 so unless you can get a hold of them super cheap and sell them in the $35.00 range then I wouldn't get my hopes up. You can always Ebay em as sometimes you'll get crazy bidders battling over stuff and you might make a good buck on some of them. It really all depends on how much you can get them for.

Yeah... hard to compare Oscars with an Arkanoid. Arkanoid is really only good for...well... arkanoid and the such. Other games just don't feel right.
There are a TON of arkanoid type games out there... So its probably worth having a dedicated one...
But Oscars are better solutions for all emulated spinner games in my opinion... It does well in arkanoid and clones, but its the way to go for all others.
