Get a multimeter. Get the VGA pinout from Google. Put one lead on a pin, the other on the wire end. Note what wire does what, and label the wires. Repeat until done.

there easy to make, but if your not up to it, I still have some for $6.00 shipped.
Here is a link for pin outs.

Questions (since I don't totally understand this process):
- So this 'hacked vga cable' enables you to attach the VGA 15-pin output of your PC's video card directly to a monitor?
- The 15-pin connector is at one end, what kind of connectors are at the other? (the mameworld.net page says that you "wire the correct output from the VGA port to the correct pin on the JAMMA fingerboard", but I am under the imprssion that the hacked cable will connect right to the monitor)
- Does this then negate the need for an ArcadeVGA card?
- If I were to get a J-Pac, then I would not need a cable like this, correct?
- I've got a PCI ATI RageXL card.
