I'm 31 now and I've been playing video games since I can remember.
-
what about a: way more than I could ever remember and loving every second of it.
-
yeah i put too scared to think about it, just in the past 5 years playing a MMORPG Asherons Call, the last time i typed in /age it said i have 6 months on INGAME time... ;D
not to mention the billion other games ive played/play
-
I think the 1st game I played was Space Invaders at a department store when I went shopping with my mom.
Pretty sure that was the first video game I ever played as well. Now I'm 34 & I own a real Space Invaders machine along with my MAME cab and countless conole & handheld systems. Too scared to think about it indeed.

Hmmmm, for me it depends ont he time period. As a kid living out int he country I played when I could when I got in town.
In college I played games with most of my free time.
Now I play about 4 hours a week.
-
I definately couldn't total up hours spent playing games....
There was this arcade up in Indiana I used to go to all the time called Free Play, It cost like $5 to get in and all the games were set to free play :D.... I spent many of days in there.
Then there's the many other arcades I used to go to in the past...
And many days as a kid spent with my 2600 and NES
the hours add up fast

I probably spent three year sof my life playing on my Atari 2600 before 1983 or so. Who knows how many since then? I got my first Atari in '77 or '78 and haven't been without a game system since then. Probably the only thing I've pent more hours on than video games is sleep.

Slacker! ;D

You've gotta remember that sleep has a seven year head start. Gaming is catching up. ;)

Less time than waiting in a line I'm sure.
More time than mowing a lawn (but it's close)
Less time than sleeping, for sure

I was 4 or 5 when I started playing... the first machine was the cocktail Pac-Man in the bar where my mom worked.
I got a 2600 when I was 6. Then it was on. 8)
I probably racked up the most gaming time as a teen, since both my solo and social activities were all based around videogames, especially Street Fighter 2.
Now I own over 40 game systems and a MAME cab. I have owned and now manage a videogame store. I don't play as often as I once did, but it's still a big part of what I do!
So I went with "Too Scared" of course! ;D

Atari 2600 came out in 1977? WoW!!
My brother 8 and I was 4 in 1977. We got a Atari 2600 for Christmas. My brother even opened the present up before Christmas, played the games for a bit, then re-wrapped the Atari 2600.
So I've played video games since then at the age of 4??? Plus we had a PONG set before then...
Wow!! I change vote to "Too scared to think about it"

I didn't get my first Atari till 1980 :'( so that made me about 8...But I did play some coin ops before then....
Does anyone remember that old electronic football game where you tried to get your dot from one end to the other without the other little dots getting you.....does that count as a video game??? I did have one of those a few years before my Atari......
btw they are selling them again....

I used to play a similare electronic football game. But it was white and I had to move a green football across the electronic field. And if I remembered, it had 3 buttons on the panel, pass, run, kick...
Which game are you talking about?

I used to have a basket ball game like those.
They rocked, until game boy came out.

used to play 20-30 hours a week as a kid, mostly late nights, now as an adult, with a child of my own, i find that i onlyplay about4-5 hours a week\average, not including the Lan party every now and then. That screws up the average.

easily 6 months of my total life..
hell last week i put 72 hours into my WoW char..
