Is anyone using the
Device_mouse event
in Linux for AdvanceMame?

Have you made sure you don't have GPM installed and/or running?

Yes.  Its not installed.

Turns out it was a bug.  Andrea fixed the problem and sent me the patched files.  I'm sure they will be in the next release.  If anyone can't wait that long, let me know and I will send you the files.
