I'm still hangin over what to use
Pad
Keyboard
Which is better and which is easier?
-
Yeah...what's a pad? Obvious what a keyboard is. What's the application?

Peale he is referring to a gamepad I think.Well since my cp isnt working yet I still use my logitech wireless gamepad for testing ;) and I prefer that to using a keyboard but it really isnt that good for 4 way games and it is pretty weak for fighting games but for shooters it kicks ass.

Maybe he's talking about using for a hack... I've tried both. Gamepad hack is much better IMHO.

oopz i'll explain in better detail. whats better to hack? gamepad or keyboard? and which is better to use? or is it easier (and more expensive) to us an i-pac or a similiar interface?

That kinda depends on what you plan to DO with it.
A gamepad is much easier to hack, and performs better.
BUT, if you need more buttons than are supported by a keyboard hack, you'd probably be better off with an encoder.
The New Econo version of the Keywiz is only $20, and it gives you more inputs than two gamepad hacks.
As far as ease of use, the screw terminal encoders are the easiest, followed by the solder terminal ones like the Econo Keywiz, followed by gamepad hacks.
The soldering is about the same for the Keywiz and gamepad hack, but you don't have to DESOLDER anything with the Keywiz.
