Hi,
I'm in the planning stages of building a Coctail Cabinet meant to run VAntAGE (Vertical ANTiquated Arcade Game Emulator). But I just realized that there is no official logo for it to use as artwork for my cab.
Any volunteers willing to design the VAntAGE logo.

Here's a quickly. Went with an old pixelated font to give it that antiquated look.
-
Looks good.
I was thinking of something that had the same case VAntAGE.
-
Nah. That would look bad. Just cause the authors have no taste, doesn't mean you don't have to.
-
It uses lowercase nt because the Ant part stands for Antiquated, and calling it VAAGE just wouldn't do (sounds like a feminine hygene product ).
I'll try doing something with the nt, the letters aren't kerned right as they are either.
-
Joy,
I think he meant to capitalize the letters "VA AGE" and leave the "nt" in lower case.
-
Here's some retro looking variants. Just noticed that the font looks a little too much like Grant Theft Auto though...
-
Joy,
Can you post a shot of the upper and lower case VAntAGE but with the original "old pixelated" font?
Thanks,

Joymonkey,
If it isn't too much trouble...

Hi,
I think I like the first style a little better as well. Not sure about the retro (pixelated) look of the fonts.
Unfortunatly my artistic skills are Nil :(
-
Hopefully I'll find time to rework that first option tonight. The font I used only has lowercase letters, so I'll need to redraw the capitals and re-kern everything. I haven't forgotten, just need to find time at home to do it.
-
Here's another. I was trying to make the logo feel "vertical" as well as being something that could go on a marquee or down the side of the screen. Is it too comic-book? Colors like everything else are subject to change.
-
That's nice. I like the use of the upsidedown "V" as the "A".
If that font supports lower case, can you post a shot with the "nt" in lower case?
Thanks,
-
The font doesn't support lower-case. It's all upper-case except for "small caps" style vowels. I actually edited the letters pretty heavily. The V and G are the only ones that are as they appear in the font.
I'll try to get a few other ideas together once I get home from work tomorrow.
