Title: Coin Door Question
Post by: gobuchul74 on December 09, 2004, 11:55:38 pm
I got an old coin door of the 2 Slot Over/Under variety.  It has a sticker on the coin box stating it was manufactured by Atari, and the coin mechs have a sticker with "Coin Controls, Royton Oldham England".

It looks just like the doors from HAPPS.  Does anyone know if I would be able to use new reject buttons from HAPP?

Looks doesn't mean is.

You have a Coin Controls door assembly. It is built to metric standards and the Happ stuff is NOT interchangeable.

A picture would be worth a thousand words.

Happ has Coin Controls parts at http://www.happcontrols.com/cc/42315700.htm.

Happ sells some original Coin Controls parts, but the selection is limited to remaining new old stock parts. Coin Controls was bought out a couple of years ago by Money Controls who promptly discontinued the amusement and coin handling product line in order to concentrate on dollar bill acceptors and casino needs.

Bob Roberts will occasionally have Coin Controls parts as well.

As noted, though, the best thing is to post a picture.

Okay, here's a couple shots of the reject button, hopefully they're not too big.

I'm in exactly the same situation, looking for a reject button for a coinco door.
I ordered some parts from Bob Roberts today and asked if he had any on hand.
He informed me that they are no longer being produced and he sold out of his used inventory some time ago.
He did however provide me with this link:

http://www.dameon.net/BBBB/kk.html

It's the entire trim kit for the coinco. It's $20, but it'll fix up that old door.

I posted a similar question to this a few weeks back. Happs does sell Coin Controls reject buttons in Red ONLY. I wanted different colored buttons, but they are only made in red. Some people out there have Yellow buttons, but unfortunately I can't get 4 of them for my door.

Fantastic, thanks for the help! A bit of paint, some new buttons, and she'll look like new.

No, that link worked when it was first posted, and oddly enough I went to Happs site to try and get a new link and the address bar still lists that address.

Just do a search on Happs site for "coin controls" and its the first result on the search list.
