I would guess 8-way leaf switch joystick, but I'm not certain.

My guess would be Wico 8-way leaf.
If that wasn't STOCK on them, I bet alot of them got converted to it.
Is your 8-way one that you can feel the corners on?
If so, get a round 8-way, like the Wicos or P360, etc...
You need to be able to hold the stick between the corners and the true directions to manuever well.
The "square" type 8-ways kind of force you all the way to the corner, which makes you go completely diagonal, rather than switching repeatedly between right/right-down/right/etc...

yea its a sqaure restrictor.. that would explain it.. ::)

We had several of these machines on our route back in the heyday. They did indeed come stock with Wico 8 way leaf joysticks on all the ones we had.

thanks for the confirmation..
im havent been happywith the seimitsu or sanwa controls that i bought to replace the stock controls in my cab anyways...
i think its time to gut them out and replace them with some western quality gear..
