Hey guys-
quick question here-
I assume I can use the 3 mouse buttons (left, center, right) from the top 3 player buttons on player 1/2, right? So I don't need dedicated mouse buttons on my cp, correct? If that's true, do I do anything special in wiring them, or, just wire them normal to my IPac2 and configure it in MAME?
Thanks
D

Well, it depends on what you want from the buttons. If you want the buttons to act as mice buttons on windows and stuff, outside of Mame, then you are going to have to wire the buttons from the trackball or mouse hack. If you are talking about just mame, then you will be fine, any button in mame can be configured for the trackball games.

Correct, you can't get mouse buttons out of an I-PAC. (Think of the I-PAC as a keyboard hack and the Opti-Pac as a mouse hack).
Also, see this thread (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,28539.0.html) which implies that in XP, you cannot wire them to both the mouse and keyboard inputs. (Not sure if this applies to Win98 or not).
What this means to me is in XP they would have to be either keyboard keys OR mouse keys, but not both. Mouse keys will work fine in MAME and Windows, but I'm not sure if all Emu's will allow you to assign a mouse-click to a button.
